Ex-Pro design includes clamp collar, inital thread attaches to the camera compatible "mm" size (as stated) the clamp collar then tights up to prevent the hood twisting back loose. Hoods prevent light coming into the actual lens at extreme angles causing relections inside and picture distortion. Some compacts include some degree of protection however adding a lens hood often increase the shade possible and removes problems such as sun spots etc... Pack contacts include 1 lense hood with integral clamp collar. 67mm front thread lens hood (Crown Shaped) with clamp collar. Unit will attach to compatible thread type.
